Freiheit
Jetzt komm grad was nostalgisches zum Mauerfall. Was, uebermorgen ist 20. Jahrestag?

Freedom
After about 6 years I've watched a traditional German game show again tonight, "Wetten dass"... great stuff - there was this guy who could dunk basketballs with a digger, superb. Next time he should separate the eggs with his digger, this cool chinese woman did with chop sticks...
Now they've got some Nostalgia on about the fall of the Berlin Wall. What, 20th anniversary this Monday?? No way. Can't believe it. I still get goosepimply watching pictures from Berlin on 9th November 1989.
And the importance of peacefully tearing down the walls between humans is still unchanged.

Happiness
Many years ago a wise man told me the secret to Happiness. He said there was just one thing I had to do at all cost, to be happy. Nothing else mattered, but to do this thing - he said it wasn't real easy, but also not too hard, and the most important thing was to just do it. So, to be happy, one has to do this one thing: Be happy.

Hi!

Hi!
Well, after our absolute wonderful dream wedding and the general high spirits we were in before, during and after (until the first "date" with the new local immigration office *eg*) I had decided to only post positive things here from now on (and in due consequence hadn't posted anything at all) - but today I just cannot help myself anymore.
The first talking to received in the sense of "so if you have gotten divorced next month we would unfortunately have to ask your husband to leave the country again" survived and - thanks to hubs (we made it! YES *exclaim, jump*) - forgotten after a couple of days *eg* - the second was sure to follow today, when we had gone to see them for the 3rd time since our wedding.
Even though we were being patronized out of sight by a loud "Yes, your husband now has a LEGAL RIGHT to a work permit", the permit will still not be given to him, as the woman has to (quote) check, if his file isn't full of crime reports!!
At the same time the same offices, which for the last one and a half years had nothing better to do than to hinder and delay his immigration process, now have nothing better to do than to notify us at least five times every visit, that my husband should bloody well speak German in a German office. Oh yeah - so you can even better discriminate against, lie to and cheat him out of his rights further more?
Man, I am annoyed right now, holy dooley. I hadn't thought it possible that they still manage to drive me mad like this, but they are good - you have to give them that.
Okay, after they neither succeeded in splitting us up, nor to mess up our wedding, we will not allow them to now crap on our long-overdue celebration with our Australian family.
Towanda!!
