Gesegnete Feiertage
Also Fazit - mehr Besinnung! :)

Blessed Holidays
Christmas has passed, the changing of the year is still ahead. Apart from good food I value especially the contemplativeness of the festive season, to stop at the end of the year, switch off the usual bustle, take stock and - very important - make new plans! Therefore it's important to take some respite and concentrate on yourself, so leave alcohol, alarms, radio, work, disarray, family etc. and look at where or who I am after all at the moment and am I happy? Of course it's good to do this on a more regular basis, but the end of the year seems to lend itself to such reflections.
This year I am having a hard time trying to 'fit' such a phase into moving house (and town), changing jobs and the excitement of being able to spend lots of time with family and friends - without airports, travel time and -chaos - and without the immigration department overshadowing it all (rest til October, yay!). I didn't quite succeed and I realise I'm not happy about it. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas and also the whole past year back in Germany, it was great.
So moral of the story is - more contemplation! :)
It's never too late and seldom too early...
