Sinkt Manja abends muede ins Bett?
Schon, so ungefaehr.
The Saink into bed, knackered, of an evening?
I DO that, nearly, on a regular basis. As everything down under is the wrong way round (the moon, the seasons...) I am sinking into bed every MORNING. Because of the tropical heat nightshifts seem to be the go. First on the rock-melon-patch in Katherine, now as pedalo-cabbie in Darwin. Gotthilf and me are trying out all sorts to fuel the travel fund. Favourite pedalo-cab-customer comment: "I bet you're getting real fit, doing this!?" Yep, pedalling 1 to 3 happy punters from pub via McD to the club for 7 hours a night does something for your fitness, in your old age... But I'm still not accepting any jobs to Perth. The 'highlights' so far were the snake with 'cycle-path hide', which I nearly run over with a couple in the back; and the 18th-birthday candidate, who was sick off the back of the bike all the way up Mitchell Street (the main pubbing area).
Unfortunately it's too muggy to sleep in the day, but tomorrow we're off to Litchfield National Park for some waterfall-refreshers. Speaking of Litchfield - last months at 'who wants to be a millionaire' the 1000-bucks-questions was, which australian capital this park is close to. The candidate used up all 3 lifelines and was still adamant, it should be Adelaide. Ouch. Too painful for the seasoned aussie-tourist to watch.
