The King's Speech
I watched it this week as it's finally running in the Original in Hannover and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know everybody goes on about Colin Firth, but I think Geoffrey Rush is the hero of this movie. (that could have something to do with Colin Firth not showing any 'rampensauing' in the slightest. Talking about rampensauing - Pirates IV on the 19th! And I have to watch that Beaver. And that Storm! Oh what an awesome cineastic month this May is!!)
Anyway, Geoffrey Rush is an absolute delight. The way he can put a whole theatre trunk full of meaning into standing there and not moving anything at all but just the hint of a flicker of the speck of an eyebrow - I was butter in his hand.
Favourite moment though was Baddie David complaining how 'kinging' was taking up most of his time. Oh and Churchill was fantastic too - the most self-ironic take on the grand master I've seen. :-)
